There’s something pretty special about photographing a family who started their story as high school sweethearts and are now raising a little girl together!

We spent an evening up at Tibble Fork Reservoir in American Fork Canyon, surrounded by the mountains, trees, and beautiful summer greenery. And while Mom and Dad were adorable, their little girl definitely stole the show.

She was so happy and playful throughout the entire session, which gave us plenty of opportunities to capture her little personality—from being tossed in the air by Dad to snuggling with Mom and Dad.

I love sessions like this because they aren't about standing still and smiling for an hour. They're about playing, laughing, exploring, and letting your kids be themselves. Those little in-between moments are often the ones you'll treasure most.

I'm so glad I got to capture this sweet season for this family—and document a little piece of their story that started back when they were just high school sweethearts. 🤍
