There is something incredibly special about documenting a family on the edge of a brand-new chapter. This beautiful maternity session at Tunnel Springs in Salt Lake City, Utah celebrated not only a growing baby bump but the excitement of welcoming their first baby girl after already having the sweetest little boy.

Tunnel Springs is one of my favorite locations for Salt Lake City maternity photography because of its rolling green hills, wide-open spaces, and endless skies. It creates the perfect backdrop for families who want natural, joyful, and timeless images that feel adventurous without having to hike miles to get them.

One of my favorite moments from this session was watching their son steal the spotlight in the sweetest way. Whether he was riding on Dad's shoulders while Mom and Dad shared a quiet moment or laughing as his parents swung him between them, every interaction was genuine and full of personality. Those are always the moments I hope families remember years from now—not perfectly posed smiles, but the laughter, movement, and connection that make this season of life so meaningful.

As we slowed things down, we captured quiet moments celebrating Mom and the little girl she is about to meet. Pregnancy is such a short chapter, even though it can feel long in the moment. Taking time to document that anticipation, excitement, and love before everything changes is something I never take for granted.
